Kira is rooted in a person-centered approach that values your unique experiences and needs. Kira’s style is both exploratory and direct, reflecting her belief that you are the expert of your own life. While she provides support and guidance, she recognizes that ultimately, only you can make decisions for yourself and create the changes you seek. Kira is here to facilitate your growth and development by fostering a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental environment while empowering you to trust your own judgment and take ownership of your own journey.
Kira, originally from South Africa, moved to the Austin area six years ago. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Texas State University, where she developed a strong foundation in psychology and counseling through both her studies and an internship at a Social Emotional Learning Center. Currently pursuing her Master's in Counseling at St. Edward's University, Kira has gained hands-on experience by working with clients at the St. Edward's Counseling Clinic and the Children's Advocacy Center.
Kira is deeply committed to the continuous growth and evolution of her counseling practice. She stays engaged with the latest research and therapeutic techniques to ensure she provides her clients with the most effective support possible. Outside of her work, Kira enjoys exploring the outdoors, finding new coffee shops around Austin, going to workout classes, or doing yoga.
